Offer : Sales and Business Development Representative
Cactusoft is looking for new talent to complete our sales force in prospecting and developing B2B business in both Quebec and Ontario.Based in Laval, Cactusoft is a technology company with over 17 years’ experience in the field. Over the past 3 years, we have undergone an enormous transformation, marketing a technological product that helps construction companies make their worksite operations more efficient.

Working at Cactusoft means:
- Schedule of 40 hours per week, generally from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with some flexibility depending on business needs.

Main Function
Your mandate will be to propel Cactusoft Construction as THE reference site management software in the industry. You will be responsible for achieving sales targets in the Quebec market, with an evolving mandate to develop new markets, particularly in Ontario. You will play an active role in expanding the brand. You will plan and organize your actions to ensure their success. You’ll also act as an ambassador to various markets, associations and other construction-related organizations.
Responsibilities
Sales:
- Needs analysis: Analyze and define the needs of prospective and current customers in order to understand their reality and challenges according in relation to their field of construction activity.
- Prospecting: Set up an appropriate prospecting process, manage appointments and follow up with customers.
- Personalized commercial approach: Solicit construction companies by offering them a customized technological solution in line with industry best practices.
- Field initiative: Seize and respond to business opportunities and maintain an adequate vision of opportunities in your territory, in the short, medium and long term.
- CRM documentation: Document customer files in the CRM and keep it up to date.
- Team meetings: Participate in sales team meetings under a Sprint/Agile model.
Business Development:
- B2B Strategic Planning: In collaboration with the Sales and Marketing Department, contribute to the development of the annual strategic plan and the deployment of the B2B Sales tactical plan.
- Proactive Market Intelligence: Conduct market search and analysis to identify upcoming opportunities in Quebec or Ontario.
- Co-sales strategy: Develop a co-sales plan with different partners to offer them products or training.
- Networking: Actively represent the brand at conventions and other industry events by developing your professional network and seizing outreach opportunities.
- Sustainable Business Relationships: Develop and maintain harmonious business relationships with Cactusoft Construction’s internal and external partners.
- Sector monitoring and continuing education: Stay up to date on new developments in the industry, competition and new trends.
Academic Requirements and Experience
- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration. An MBA is an asset. Any combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
- Minimum 5 years B2B sales experience. (Software marketing or relevant construction experience an asset.)
- Excellent command of sales and marketing techniques (in-person, email, social medias, etc.)
- Knowledge of the Ontario market.
Skills and Abilities
- Advanced proficiency in French and English, both oral and written.
- Good writing skills (e.g. customer emails, sales reports). Ability to build a story telling for presentation purposes.
- Strong B2B network development skills, with a proactive approach to identify, approaching and converting new business opportunities.
- Autonomy.
- A hands-on person, proactive in developing human and authentic relationships. Ability to create a good network of contacts.
- Results-oriented, team player and leadership.
- Ability to negotiate, manage priorities and cope with stress.
- Professionalism, listening skills and customer service skills.
- Database proficiency (CRM).
- Availability for travel in Quebec and Ontario, with flexibility of schedule according to customer needs and availability.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for business travel.
